What is Money Smart Kids?

Money Smart Kids is a not-for-profit organisation that provides engaging financial education workshops for children and families. Our aim is to help young people build the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to make smart money choices throughout their lives.

What do children learn in the workshops?

Our workshops introduce and develop financial skills for pupils from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 5, with activities adapted to suit the age and understanding of each group.

Children and young people explore important money topics such as:

  • Understanding coins, notes, and how money works

  • Learning the difference between needs and wants

  • Saving money and setting financial goals

  • Making smart spending decisions

  • Understanding digital money, banking, and online payments

  • Exploring budgeting and financial planning

Our workshops use games, characters, real-life examples, and interactive activities to make financial education engaging, practical, and memorable for students of all ages.

How long are the workshops?

Each workshop typically lasts around 60 minutes and includes interactive activities, discussions, and challenges.

At the end of the session, children receive a certificate of achievement to celebrate what they have learned.

Do you offer workshops outside of schools?

Yes. We also run community workshops for families, particularly supporting low-income households and vulnerable communities who may benefit from practical financial education and money-saving strategies.

How are you funded?

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on:

Are you a registered charity?

We are currently awaiting our official charity registration with the Charity Commission.
